Sky has received planning permission for its new Livingston Campus, paving the way for one of Scotland’s largest workplace developments in recent years and reinforcing the company’s long‑term commitment to the country. The approval marks a key milestone for the project, which will consolidate Sky’s existing operations into a modern, sustainable hub designed for around 3,000 employees.
The new campus will replace four buildings at Kirkton Campus as well as leased space on the Alba Campus. Spread across 15 acres and more than 21,000 m², the development will feature enhanced green areas and flexible workspaces built with sustainability at the core. Sky says the investment will support hundreds of jobs and create opportunities for local suppliers, SMEs and businesses throughout West Lothian.
Sky has been part of the Livingston community for more than 30 years, with the site serving as one of the company’s most important employment centres in the UK. The expanded campus is intended to provide a future‑ready workplace while supporting Sky’s long‑term growth ambitions in Scotland.
Sophia Ahmad, CEO of UK Consumer at Sky, called the approval “a significant milestone and a vote of confidence in Scotland,” adding that the new campus will deliver lasting economic benefits for the region.
Local leaders welcomed the investment. Gregor Poynton, MP for Livingston, said the project demonstrates Sky’s long‑term commitment to the area and recognises the “incredible talent, skills and dedication” of its workforce. Angela Constance, MSP for Almond Valley, described the development as “a major boost for West Lothian,” highlighting its modern facilities, improved green space, active travel routes and strong sustainability focus, including on‑site solar panels and renewable energy.
The Livingston Campus forms part of Sky’s broader presence in Scotland. Recent relocations of its Glasgow and Dunfermline offices have created modern, collaborative workspaces that underline the strategic importance of its Scottish operations.
Construction will be led by GRAHAM, appointed as principal contractor. Chris MacLeod, regional director at GRAHAM Building North, said the company is committed to delivering a campus that reflects the scale and ambition of Sky’s investment, working closely with local suppliers to ensure long‑term economic benefits for West Lothian.
