Cricket Australia has launched an early-access version of Cricket TV, a direct-to-consumer service combining live matches with highlights, documentaries and archive programming.

The service, developed with Eluvio, is intended to extend access to Australian cricket outside markets covered by existing broadcast agreements. Its full commercial launch is planned for later in 2026.

Cricket TV is available through browsers, mobile devices and connected TVs. Eluvio’s Content Fabric handles live and archive feeds, transcoding and delivery, including adaptive HD and 4K streaming.

The platform supports subscription, pay-per-view and advertising-funded models. Its rights protection includes DRM, forensic watermarking, encryption, geoblocking and controls applied to individual content offers.

Cricket Australia is also using Eluvio’s AI tools to analyse and search its match archive, create clips and produce vertical video for mobile and social platforms. Live matches can be made available for replay without creating a separate copy of the programme.

Dan Allan, senior content manager, broadcast at Cricket Australia, said the early-access service had already attracted viewers from more than 40 countries.

“Cricket TV brings live matches and some of the best moments from our archive together in one place for fans around the world,” he said.

The service builds on Cricket Australia’s previous use of Eluvio technology to process and search its archive. Its content offering includes recent highlights and replays alongside original documentaries and historic matches.

Separately, Eluvio has also been selected to supply the underlying streaming platform for Pacific Cooperation Broadcasting Limited’s Pasifika+, a direct-to-consumer streaming service carrying sport, news and entertainment from broadcasters across the Pacific. Content Fabric will manage live and on-demand content from ingest through to distribution, while also supporting subscriptions, transactional purchases and advertising. Scheduled to launch later in 2026, Pasifika+ will draw content from more than 30 free-to-air broadcasters and regional producers

Eluvio will present Cricket TV at IBC2026 in Amsterdam from 11 to 14 September.
