Sophie Vernier-Reiffers has been appointed General Counsel of Canal+, replacing Laëtitia Ménasé. She reports to CEO Maxime Saada and joins the group’s Executive Committee.

Vernier-Reiffers has dual expertise in French and Spanish law. A former member of the Paris Bar, specializing in corporate law, securities law and mergers & acquisitions, she practiced as a lawyer for eight years, including five years at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés. In 2008, she joined Groupe familial Peugeot, where over the course of eighteen years she built a career spanning legal expertise, corporate governance and the Group’s strategic priorities. She notably served as Deputy General Counsel and Board Secretary until 2021, before becoming General Counsel and Head of Sustainability, and was subsequently appointed General Secretary in 2023.

“Canal+ Group welcomes her and wishes her every success in this role,” said a Canal+ press statement, adding: “[We] warmly thank Laëtitia Ménasé for her more than 10 years of commitment and her many contributions throughout her years within the Group and wishes her every success in her future endeavours”.
