ProSiebenSat.1 has appointed Silke Kuisle as its new Chief Digital Business Officer, bringing the former DFL executive back to the German media group to oversee its digital strategy, growth and digital business activities.

Kuisle takes up the role with immediate effect. Her responsibilities include the group’s streaming platform Joyn, marketing, podcast unit Seven. One Audio and Studio71.

The appointment comes around six months after the departure of Katharina Frömsdorf, who most recently served as Chief Transformation Officer at ProSiebenSat.1.

Kuisle joins from German football association DFL, where she most recently headed the Corporate Strategy division and reported directly to the management board.

The 48-year-old executive is already familiar with ProSiebenSat.1. Earlier in her career, she worked for the group as Head of Corporate Development and later as managing director of MyVideo, its early advertising-supported video-on-demand platform.

Before joining the DFL, Kuisle was also CFO of OneFootball, where she was responsible for the company’s strategic development.
