German sports streaming service Sporteurope.TV has extended its partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) ahead of schedule, securing exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights to the US Open in Germany and Austria through 2030.
The three-year extension covers the 2028-2030 period and was negotiated by IMG, the USTA’s international media rights partner. Sporteurope.TV will also retain non-exclusive pay-TV rights in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and South Tyrol, bringing the agreement to six licensed markets.
“We love the US Open, and that’s why we are particularly pleased that this excellent partnership with the USTA is continuing,” said Björn Beinhauer, CEO of Sporteurope.TV. “The US Open stands for great tennis, great stories and great energy – and therefore fits perfectly with what we want to offer our fans via Sporteurope.TV. Being able to extend this partnership through 2030 already is a real milestone for us. We look forward to many more unforgettable US Open moments and to continuing to shape the future of sports broadcasting together with our partners.”
Kirsten Corio, Chief Commercial Officer of the USTA, added: “Sporteurope is a long-standing and strong partner of the US Open, and we are very pleased that this collaboration is continuing. Sporteurope reaches an important audience of passionate tennis fans, and we look forward to the many opportunities to work together to further enhance coverage of the sport and the US Open in the years ahead.”
Sporteurope.TV is also extending its collaboration with former world No. 1 Boris Becker and tennis commentator Matthias Stach. Both will continue to provide analysis, insights and tennis expertise as part of the platform’s US Open coverage.
The new agreement covers live and on-demand coverage of the tournament, including all matches from the qualifying rounds through to the singles, doubles and junior competitions.
Sporteurope.TV will continue offering comprehensive US Open coverage during the current rights period, before holding exclusive free-to-air and pay-TV rights in Germany and Austria from 2028.
