Ateme and Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) have announced a collaboration to combine their managed services and media technologies for premium live video delivery.
Under the agreement, CTS will integrate Ateme’s TITAN video compression, NEA OTT delivery and monetisation platform, and Ateme+ SaaS services into its Comcast Media360 platform. The combined offering is designed to help broadcasters, media companies and operators streamline live encoding, distribution and OTT workflows.
The companies said the collaboration will enable customers to deliver high-quality live video while improving operational efficiency and scaling services across both broadcast and streaming environments.
Beyond the technology integration, the partnership establishes a framework for future product development, with the companies focusing on cloud-native, automated and AI-enabled live media services. They said the joint approach is intended to simplify increasingly complex media supply chains while accelerating the adoption of next-generation streaming workflows.
“We are delighted to partner with CTS to help customers simplify and optimize live media delivery,” said Michel Artières, CEO of Ateme. “Together, we are combining leading services and industry-leading technologies to deliver the performance, efficiency and flexibility required by today’s media industry.”
Bart Spriester, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Streaming, Broadcast and Advertising at Comcast Technology Solutions, added: “Ateme has built an outstanding reputation for innovation in video compression and OTT delivery. By combining the full capabilities of Comcast Media360 with Ateme’s advanced technologies, we’re helping customers simplify live video workflows, improve operational efficiency, deliver and monetize exceptional viewing experiences across live broadcast and streaming environments.”
The partnership reflects a wider industry trend towards integrated media supply chains, as technology vendors combine encoding, distribution and managed services into unified cloud-based platforms to support broadcasters’ transition to hybrid broadcast and streaming operations.
