Alan Titchmarsh YouTube series coming to ITV

ITV has commissioned a new twelve-part series based on Middlechild Production’s YouTube series Gardening With Alan Titchmarsh.

The new series, titled My Year In A Cottage Garden With Alan Titchmarsh, will follow the gardener and author as he passes on a lifetime’s experience and breathes new life into a long-established cottage garden, adding new features and revitalising beds and borders over the course of 12 months. The series will feature content from the YouTube Channel alongside original footage, new presenter links and voice over.


Launched in 2025 Gardening With Alan Titchmarsh has built an online audience of more than 500,000 followers across its social media channels, including 185,000 subscribers on YouTube and has had over 100 million views worldwide.

The ITV commission represents an important evolution of the project, taking a format originally developed for YouTube and bringing it mainstream television audiences, with international distribution to follow.

My Year In A Cottage Garden With Alan Titchmarsh will air in 2027. Passion Distribution will be representing the series internationally.
