Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) has signed a new multi-year agreement with A+E Global Media to provide managed distribution of the broadcaster’s premium on-demand content across major streaming and pay-TV platforms.
The agreement will see A+E Global Media use Comcast MediaExpress, part of the Comcast Media360 portfolio, as a single point of ingest for video assets and metadata. The managed service will handle content preparation, packaging and VOD distribution for brands including A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime.
Through the platform, CTS will distribute content to a range of partners including Amazon, Apple Channels, Xfinity, Cox, Mediacom, DIRECTV and DISH, replacing multiple distribution workflows with a centralised managed service.
Prakash Patel, Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy and Transformation at A+E Global Media, said the company is seeking to simplify content delivery while ensuring programming reaches distribution partners “quickly and reliably.”
Bart Spriester, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Streaming, Broadcast and Advertising at Comcast Technology Solutions, added the agreement demonstrates how MediaExpress can reduce operational complexity across streaming and digital distribution.
MediaExpress forms part of Comcast Media360, CTS’s managed media services portfolio that combines video processing, distribution and monetisation across linear television and streaming platforms. The service is designed to provide broadcasters and content owners with a single ingest workflow for premium video assets before distributing them to OTT services, MVPDs, virtual MVPDs and FAST platforms.
The deal further strengthens Comcast Technology Solutions’ position as a managed services provider for media companies seeking to consolidate increasingly complex content distribution workflows, following a series of partnerships announced ahead of IBC2026 focused on simplifying live and on-demand video delivery.
