Globecast has unveiled MooM (Media Orchestration and Operations Management), a cloud-native platform designed to extend media workflow orchestration beyond content transport into end-to-end operational management.

The platform, which will be previewed at IBC2026, builds on the company’s Content Exchange platform, launched last year to orchestrate content across satellite, fibre, IP and cloud networks.

MooM is designed to bring together remote production, playout, media asset management, content preparation, headend operations and OTT delivery within a single operational environment. Globecast says the platform replaces fragmented control systems with a unified interface that provides greater visibility, automation and management across hybrid media workflows.

Designed for multi-cloud deployments, MooM supports AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and private infrastructure, incorporating integrated FinOps capabilities and AI-driven operations management to optimise resource usage and costs.

Globecast says the platform enables broadcasters and media companies to launch new channels and live events more quickly, simplify operational workflows and trial new services and business models without significant upfront capital investment.

Alongside MooM, Globecast is enhancing Content Exchange, which continues to serve as the orchestration layer for live and file-based media transport across satellite, fibre, IP and cloud networks. The platform offers automated provisioning, real-time monitoring and role-based management tools to help rights holders, broadcasters and streaming platforms manage multiple feeds and regional distribution.

The announcement also highlights Globecast’s wider infrastructure transformation. The company says it has virtualised and modernised operations across its six global Media Services Centres in Westlake Village, London, Paris, Singapore, Johannesburg and Rome, replacing hardware-intensive systems with cloud-enabled environments to improve scalability, operational efficiency and sustainability.

Jean-Christophe Perier, Chief Marketing Officer at Globecast, said customers increasingly need a unified operational layer rather than additional technology silos. He said Content Exchange had demonstrated the value of intelligent orchestration for media transport, while MooM extends that approach across the wider media operations environment, combining existing infrastructure with cloud services under Globecast’s managed operations model.
