Cellnex UK appoints Cloete as Commercial Director

Cellnex, the European operator of telco infrastructure, have announced the permanent appointment of Stefan Cloete as Commercial Director of Cellnex UK.

Cloete has been serving as Interim Commercial Director of Cellnex UK since June, having joined the company in November 2025 as Head of MNO Sales. His new role reflects the strength of leadership he has demonstrated over the interim period.


Cloete commented: “The past few months have given me a clear view of where Cellnex UK can make the biggest difference. My focus now is on turning that into real progress across our existing estate, growing our In-Building footprint and expanding our presence into new markets – giving operators practical and efficient ways to improve network quality in the UK. Working closely with our teams and customers to deliver on that is exactly where my attention is over the next year.”

Cloete brings a breadth of perspectives to the role, having worked with Tier 1 operators in the UK, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and Sweden. Prior to joining Cellnex, he held senior leadership positions at Ericsson, including VP Key Account Manager for MBNL and Vodafone UK, and Account CTO for VMO2.
