DAZN has made a series of senior executive appointments as the sports streaming platform continues to expand internationally.
Patrick Delany has been appointed chief operating officer, taking responsibility for subscriber growth, day-to-day operations, pricing, rights renewals, content production and advertising. Delany joins the role after leading Foxtel Group, which was acquired by DAZN earlier this year, and overseeing its integration into the business.
Alex Gersh will join DAZN as chief financial officer, replacing Darren Waterman. Gersh was previously chief financial officer at sports data company Sportradar, where he helped lead its Nasdaq listing, and has also held senior finance roles at Betfair and Paddy Power Betfair.
Waterman moves into the newly created position of chief business officer, where he will lead strategic partnerships, commercial development and corporate transactions.
Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said: “DAZN is entering an exciting new chapter of profitable growth, during which we will build on the strong momentum we have created in the business. Our built-for-sport platform is now available in more than 200 markets, connecting millions of fans across the world to the sports they love through immersive experiences that go far beyond broadcast.”
The management changes follow a year of significant expansion for DAZN. The company says it reached profitability in 2025 after acquiring Australia’s Foxtel Group and streaming the FIFA Club World Cup. This year it has continued to grow through the acquisitions of ViewLift and EverPass, the addition of FIFA+ to its platform and expansion of its regional sports business in the United States.
Separately, DAZN said Alice Mascia will leave as chief executive for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at the end of the year. Felix Krause has rejoined the company as deputy chief executive for the region and will become chief executive on 1 January 2027.
