German media company ProSiebenSat.1 has appointed Ingrid Heisserer as its new Group Chief Financial Officer, with the former RTL Deutschland CFO set to join the Executive Board on 1 February 2027.
Heisserer will succeed Bob Rajan, who has served as Interim Group CFO since October 2025 and will remain in the position until the handover.
Heisserer most recently served as CFO and Chief Human Resources Officer of RTL Deutschland, where she was involved in the broadcaster’s transformation towards streaming, portfolio simplification and cost-cutting programmes, as well as M&A activities.
Before joining RTL Deutschland, Heisserer spent more than 20 years at cosmetics company L’Oréal, holding senior finance positions in Germany, France, Russia and Brazil. She became CFO of L’Oréal’s German Luxury Division in 2016 and later took on responsibility as CFO Germany & Austria. She began her career at Steelcase in France and holds degrees in business administration and law.
With German-French roots and broad international experience, Heisserer adds a strong European perspective to ProSiebenSat.1, according to the broadcaster, adding that this will be particularly valuable as its largest investor MFE-MediaForEurope continues to advance its vision of a pan-European media alliance.
“Ingrid Heisserer stood out from a strong field of candidates because she combines something rare: deep operational finance expertise with firsthand experience as a media client and buyer,” said Maria Kyriacou, Chair of the Supervisory Board of ProSiebenSat.1. “She knows how advertisers think and how they make decisions – and that perspective is genuinely valuable for ProSiebenSat.1.”
Marco Giordani, Group CEO of ProSiebenSat.1, added: “I am delighted to welcome Ingrid Heisserer to our Executive Board. She brings valuable perspectives and complements our leadership team exceptionally well. She joins at a moment when we have made real progress: our profitability has significantly improved, our financial foundation has strengthened, and our portfolio has become more focused.”
Rajan’s interim tenure has focused on financial processes, cash management and the implementation of ProSiebenSat.1’s strategy, including several portfolio disposals.
“I also want to take a moment to thank Bob Rajan,” said Giordani. “What he accomplished as Interim Group CFO in less than a year is remarkable: modernised processes, a disciplined focus on cash management, and decisive support in executing our strategy, including several complex divestments.”
