Orange Belgium Chief Consumer Officer Christophe Dujardin is to leave the telecoms operator to become Administrator General of Belgian public broadcaster RTBF.
The Government of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation has formally appointed Dujardin to the position, which he will take up on November 2.
Dujardin has spent more than six years at Orange Belgium, where his responsibilities have included the development of its consumer business and the integration of cable operator VOO.
“Christophe has made a strong contribution to Orange Belgium, particularly in strengthening our consumer business and supporting the successful integration of VOO,” said Johan Deschuyffeleer, Chairman of Orange Belgium.
Orange Belgium CEO Xavier Pichon also highlighted Dujardin’s knowledge of the Belgian market and his role in developing the Orange brand.
Dujardin will remain Chief Consumer Officer until October 30 to oversee the transition. Orange Belgium has yet to announce his successor.
At RTBF, Dujardin will take charge of the French-speaking Belgian public broadcaster at a time of continued change in television distribution and viewing habits, bringing experience from the telecoms and pay-TV sector as well as the integration of VOO into Orange Belgium.
