Sky Italia has renewed its exclusive rights to the United Rugby Championship for a further three seasons, taking its coverage through to the end of the 2028/29 campaign.

The agreement covers all matches involving Italian franchises Benetton Treviso and Zebre Parma, together with the tournament’s knockout stages from the playoffs onwards. Coverage will be available on Sky Sport and streamed through NOW.

The URC brings together 16 teams from Italy, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and South Africa.

The new season begins on September 25, when Benetton faces the Dragons, followed by Zebre against the Bulls on September 26.

“We’re delighted to continue broadcasting one of the most prestigious tournaments in international rugby,” said Giuseppe De Bellis, EVP News, Sports & Entertainment at Sky Italia.

The renewal adds to Sky Italia’s rugby portfolio, which also includes the Nations Championship and WXV Global Series involving the Italian women’s national team.

Sky is also providing additional editorial coverage around the two Italian URC teams, including a season preview programme ahead of the opening round.
