September 28, 2026

Sports broadcaster Premier Sports will exclusively screen three upcoming Argentina international matches for viewers in the UK & Ireland, including what is being billed as Lionel Messi’s final ever appearance for his country.

Argentina will host Bolivia on September 30th before facing Burkina Faso on October 3rd. The final match – Argentina v Benin on October 6th looks set to be Messi’s farewell game, a moment of global football significance as the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner hangs up his international boots.

Messi’s international career started in 2005, and for two decades he has been the inspirational heartbeat of the Albiceleste, winning the 2021 and 2024 Copa América and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Messi will leave the international stage as Argentina’s most-capped (currently 207 appearances) and all-time leading goalscorer (currently 125 goals).

As Argentina prepares to say goodbye to its talisman, will be able to witness the farewell and celebrate the career of a legend who changed the sport forever.
