September 28, 2026

Following on from its inception in 2021, ITV has announced the evolution of its Cultural Advisory Council for the 2026/27 term, introducing a new strategic focus and an updated membership.

Joining the Council for this 12 month term are Sabah Choudrey – Consultant, writer and speaker; Anu Giri – Executive Director of English National Ballet; Taio Lawson – Artistic Director and Co-CEO of the Bush Theatre; and Reema Patel – Research Director and Founder, Elgon Social Research. The Cultural Advisory Council will continue to be chaired by Sinéad Burke, CEO and Founder of Tilting the Lens.

The purpose of ITV’s Cultural Advisory Council is to provide advice, challenge and feedback to ITV, in support of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy, with a focus on three specific areas for the 2026/27 term: AI and Equity (considerations across colleagues, content and communities), Diverse Talent (improving recruitment and retention), and Inclusive Culture (supporting and championing an inclusive culture). The Cultural Advisory Council is managed by Kalaiyashni Puvanendran, ITV’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Programme Lead.

Sam Tatlow, ITV’s Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Sabah Choudrey, Anu Giri, Taio Lawson, and Reema Patel to the Cultural Advisory Council, and delighted that Sinéad Burke will continue as our Chair. By shifting to a focused format, we are aligning these incredible external experts directly with our internal leaders. We look forward to collaborating with them to deliver tangible solutions across AI, recruitment, and inclusive culture.”
