Ahead of launching at MIPCOM 2026, BBC Studios has confirmed pre-sales for several titles from its upcoming slate across the Nordics.

Sweden’s public service broadcaster SVT has concluded a unscripted package deal, including pre-sales of forthcoming landmark titles from BBC Studios Natural History Unit Productions, Blue Planet III, Green Planet II and MIPCOM launch title Hidden Planet. SVT has also agreed a pre-sale of the upcoming BBC Studio Specialist Factual title The Diary of Anne Frank (w/t), in addition to the new series of A Life in Ten Pictures and continuing favourites Antiques Roadshow and Where the Wild Men are with Ben Fogle.

Doctor Foster Season 3 and Call the Midwife: Sisters In Arms are part of a scripted package deal with TV2 Norway. The agreement with TV2 also includes pre-sales of Deadpoint and Agatha Christie’s Tommy & Tuppence. Other series confirmed as part of the agreement include earlier seasons of Call the Midwife, Death in Paradise, Doctor Foster, Happy Valley (pictured), The Split and The Split: Barcelona. All titles will be available to stream on demand for Norwegian audiences via SVoD service TV2 Play.

Separately, SVT has acquired a scripted package focused on BBC Studios returning dramas. This includes pre-sales of Sherwood S3, Unforgotten S7, and Silent Witness S30 alongside recent series of Call The Midwife (S15) and The Chelsea Detective (S4) and FVoD boxsetting of earlier seasons of Sherwood, Unforgotten and The Chelsea Detective.

Zai Bennett, CEO & Chief Creative Officer, BBC Studios Global Content, commented: “As we head to MIPCOM, we’re bringing a fresh lineup of titles that combine exceptional craft, cutting-edge technology and a rich mix of new stories from acclaimed creative talent. We deliver the quality, breadth and originality that buyers need to engage audiences around the world. These agreements with SVT and TV2 Norway demonstrates early confidence in our upcoming offering and reflects the trust buyers place in our ability to combine exciting new commissions with a catalogue of enduring quality and appeal.”

BBC Studios titles launching at MIPCOM 2026 include Shy & Lola, produced by multi-BAFTA and Emmy award-winning Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer, The Death of Bunny Munro, Alice and Steve), part of BBC Studios, for BBC iPlayer and BBC One in association with ZDFneo.
