Amazon has announced Fire TV Stick 4K and an all-new Fire TV Remote—the latest in a new generation of Fire TV hardware that started with Fire TV Stick HD in April.

Fire TV Stick 4K delivers crisp resolution and a fast experience. From powering on to streaming, Amazon says the new 4K stick gets customers to content from nearly 20–40 per cent faster than a similarly priced 4K stick from another leading brand; the Fire TV Stick 4K turns on faster, apps launch over 35 per cent faster, and content starts playing nearly 20 per cent faster.

The Fire TV Stick 4K is built with Amazon’s Vega operating system and comes with Alexa+ and the new Fire TV experience out of the box. Since releasing the first Fire TV product built on Vega OS in 2025, Amazon has added over 2,000 more apps, including Spotify, XBOX, VLC, and a range of VPNs. That’s in addition to popular apps customers love to use, like Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, Prime Video, HBO Max, Peacock, Tubi, Pluto, Instagram and more.

The Fire TV Stick 4K comes with 8 GB internal storage, a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor, and support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and Bluetooth Low Energy. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, H.265, H.264, VP9, and AV1 video content formats and features 2160p, 1080p, and 720p output resolution up to 60 frames per second.

Alongside Fire TV Stick 4K, Amazon is introducing a new Fire TV Remote design. The asymmetric shape – a flat top and curved, weighted bottom 0 was designed to make it quicker and easier to tell which direction to hold it. The home button now has its own distinct metal surface, and other buttons on the remote are indented or distinctly shaped to make finding them intuitive by touch alone. Previously only available on Amazon’s more premium remote, the new Fire TV Remote has a customisable star button that users can set up so that it goes straight to theur favorite app, or to toggle settings like closed captioning or Screen Magnifier.

With the redesign, Amazon will also launch the new Fire TV Remote Plus early in 2027. Featuring aluminum housing and backlit buttons, Fire TV Remote Plus will replace Alexa Voice Remote Pro.

Fire TV Stick 4K is $59.99 and starts shipping immediately in the UK, the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and Australia, with additional countries following in late October. For a limited-time, customers in the US can get it for $29.99 during Prime Big Deal Days – 50 per cent off the regular price. It ships with a Fire TV Remote and comes with Alexa+ and the new Fire TV experience built in.

The new Fire TV Remote is available for preorder as a standalone option for customers who want to upgrade their existing Fire TV device. It will start to ship in late October for $14.99 in the US Fire TV Remote Plus is expected to launch in early 2027.
