Just one month after its strategic news offering agreement with YouTube became operative, France Télévisions has become the country’s leading news destination on the streaming platform, ahead of rival channels operated by M6, TF1, RTL, BFMTV and Le Parisien.
The franceinfo YouTube Channel recorded 110 million views in September 2026 according to data from Logicomix and Social Blade, increasing the average audience by 8x over the 12 months. It also reached a peak of 5.4 million views in a single day.
The number of unique viewers having watched the channel’s content hit 12.2 million in September, up from 4.9 million over the January-June 2026 period.
The channel now has over 1 million subscribers, including more than 50,000 new ones gained in September.
Most of the views come during the evening (23.2 million views) and afternoon news bulletins along with news programmes Le Fil Info and L’info s’éclaire.
“YouTube brings together 43 million monthly users in France. It constitutes a growth lever for the reach of programmes and to engage additional audiences,” said France Télévisions when first announcing the deal in April.
