France: Arcom launches call for DTT licences
October 8, 2026
Arcom, the French media regulator, has launched a call for applications for the provision of national services shown on digital terrestrial television (DTT) in HD.
This call for applications comes ahead of the expiry, in December 2027, of the licences currently held by six services: 6ter, L’Équipe, RMC Découverte, RMC Life, RMC Story and TF1 Séries Films.
The licences issued under this call will have an expiry date aligned with that of the national licences issued in 2025, specifically 2035, so that, where appropriate, the range of services offered on DTT can be more easily developed when the time comes, explained Arcom.
Prospective applications must be submitted to Arcom by December 1st, with a complete application by December 15th.
