Mega Movie Week is supported by a broad PR and media campaign to increase reach and continue building brand awareness of the promotion, including a partnership with Samsung TV and JustWatch.
Liz Bales, Chief Executive of DEGI, commented: “DEGI is committed to supporting and driving the growth of digital transactional in Italy, and the return of Mega Movie Week delivers a powerful message on the strength and potential of transactional home entertainment in the region. With a broad range of titles at brilliant prices, the campaign offers a fantastic proposition for Italian audiences, showcasing the value, accessibility and convenience of digital ownership and rental. We are delighted to build on the momentum of the first edition to deliver another high impact campaign for 2026, and would like to extend our warmest thanks UniVideo for their renewed collaboration, as well as to our local and international distributor and retail partners, whose support makes Mega Movie Week possible.”

Luciana Migliavacca, President of UniVideo, added: “We are delighted that UniVideo is once again supporting the Mega Movie Week activity promoted by the DEGI this year. It is an important opportunity to promote and strengthen the home entertainment market, focusing on innovation, legality and tradition. As an audiovisual publisher, and first and foremost as a cinema enthusiast, I believe that physical media and digital viewing are not alternatives, but two complementary ways of enjoying the same experience. What brings them together is the public’s enduring connection with cinema, which remains strong even as viewing habits evolve. Meeting these needs means offering more purchasing and viewing opportunities, while also encouraging audiences to rediscover titles that are part of our cultural heritage. This is why we strongly support a campaign that promotes legal digital rental and purchase, placing the value of content and its accessibility at the heart of the initiative. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with all industry stakeholders to create new opportunities for audiences and contributing to the growth of the market as a whole.”

The event is set to return in 2027.
