Samsung TV Plus has announced an expansion of its public service broadcaster (PSB) and commercial broadcaster content offering in France, bringing six channels to the platform in France throughout October.

This includes three channels featuring programming whose rights are managed by France Télévisions distribution alongside a France 24 channel in French, TF1’s Confessions Intimes and Le Figaro TV.

Antoine Chotard, Country Lead France and MENA, at Samsung TV Plus EMEA, commented: “This expansion reinforces Samsung TV Plus’ position as France’s leading FAST distribution platform. We’re bringing audiences high-quality content that they can trust, from France’s most respected broadcasters and media brands. French audiences recognise and value these channels, and now they can access them on Samsung TV Plus. PSB partnerships like these are what allow Samsung TV Plus to appeal to local audiences, whilst remaining completely subscription-free.”

The new channels:

Cuisine Ouverte – hosted by chef Mory Sacko, this popular cooking show invites viewers into the kitchens of talented chefs.
Le jour où tout a basculé – the docudrama series featuring prominent actors, with episodes on YouTube attracting over 1 million subscribers since the original launch in 2011.
On n’est pas couché – the late-night, current affairs talk show hosted by Laurent Ruquier.
Confessions Intimes – TF1’s up close and personal relationship docuseries, with over 300 episodes available. With cameras stepping into the homes of real-life couples, the 30-minute episodes are designed for binge watching.
France 24 – the live international news station watched by 108.5 million viewers ever week. In addition to its live news bulletins, France 24 offers a range of programmes and investigative reports.
Le Figaro TV – dedicated to culture, the arts, history, lifestyle, heritage and cultural life, alongside programmes featuring debate, analysis and in-depth insight.
