Eutelsat has announced the renewal of its partnerships with Antik Sat, the DTH platform operated by Antik Telecom, and A1, the Central and Eastern European communications provider.

The new multi-transponder agreement reinforces the companies’ commitment to delivering TV services to households across Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Under the renewed partnership, Eutelsat will continue to provide satellite capacity at its flagship 16° East orbital position, the satellite neighbourhood for Central and Eastern Europe. A1 will deliver headend hosting, uplink and associated broadcast services, while Antik Sat will leverage the platform to serve its subscriber base with a line-up of television content.

Jakub Brzeczkowski, RVP Sales Video Europe at Eutelsat, commented: “We are pleased to build on our long-standing relationship with Antik Telecom and A1 through this new agreement. Our leading 16° East neighbourhood provides the resilience, coverage and performance needed to support established and growing video platforms. We are proud to remain a trusted partner in Antik Telecom’s long-term growth journey.”

Ing. Vlastimil Lakatoš, Chief Product Officer, Antik Telecom, said: “This agreement secures the foundation of our Antik Sat television platform and ensures continuity for our customers across Slovakia. By combining Eutelsat’s proven satellite infrastructure with A1’s technical expertise and service capabilities, we can continue to provide a compelling television offering and a high-quality viewing experience.”

Elena Petrova, Head of Content, Broadcasting & Media Solutions, A1 International Business, added: “We are pleased to continue supporting Antik Sat through our headend, uplink and managed broadcast services. This renewal highlights the strength of the partnership between A1, Antik Telecom and Eutelsat and our shared commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality television services to viewers across the region.”
