Skylink brand being replaced by Canal+
October 14, 2026

Skylink, the satellite TV and streaming platform serving the Czech Republic and Slovakia, will bring its services under the Canal+ brand – its parent group’s identity – from october 22nd.

The change retires a brand used since 2007 and will coincide with the launch of four television channels and access to the Canal+ streaming application.

Existing subscriptions will continue, a company notice advised, adding that, beyond the name change, there will be no alteration to subscribers’ services.

The service will add four new channels available under an introduction offer – Canal+, Canal+ Drama, Canal+ Crime and Canal+ Classics – as well as and the Canal+ streaming app, joining the Canal+ Action and the Canal+ Sport channels which already operate on Skylink.

Canal+, part of the Vivendi Group, has been providing satellite and internet television under the Skylink brand since 2007.

The news comes on the heels of SPI International rebranding as Canal+ Content Benelux & Central Europe.
