TV5MONDE, the French public service broadcaster, is expanding its distribution network with Prime Video.

Amazon Prime members in France and Germany now have direct access to the French-language channel via the Prime Video interface. Viewers can stream TV5MONDE’s flagship programmes, including the arts show La Grande Galerie Francophone (every Sunday), Maghreb Orient Express, a magazine covering cultural news from the Arab world (every Saturday), and the monthly discovery and travel show Destination Francophonie.

“This agreement marks a new step in our hyperdistribution strategy. Our goal is clear: to meet audiences wherever they are and introduce them to French-language programming of unparalleled diversity,” commented Kim Younes, CEO of TV5MONDE.

In Germany, the TV5MONDE channel on Prime Video is subtitled in German to make its programmes accessible to all audiences.

In France, a selection of catch-up content is also available.

TV5MONDE is also available in France through the packages of all major internet service providers, and in Germany through Deutsche Telekom’s IPTV offering.
