Finnish operator DNA has launched DNA Viihde, broadening its television offering into an entertainment platform covering streaming, music, podcasts, radio, audiobooks, gaming and karaoke.
Available from October 19, the service brings together television channels, recordings, apps and other entertainment through a single interface. It builds on services previously offered through DNA TV.
The package includes the new DNA Viihdeboksi with Speakers 2.0, combining a television box with integrated audio. The device is supplied as part of the monthly subscription, removing the need for customers to buy the hardware upfront.
DNA said the launch reflects changing entertainment habits, with its Digital Life 2026 research showing Finns use streaming platforms, television channels, online video and operator TV services alongside one another.
“Customers want an easy way to find, access, and manage all their entertainment without needing multiple devices, services, or remote controls,” said Mervi Rouvinen, Business Lead for DNA Viihde.
“With DNA Viihde, users only need one device at home to handle all their entertainment—from audiobooks and karaoke to watching TV channels.”
The operator is also highlighting home karaoke as part of the offering. Customers can use karaoke apps with wireless microphones purchased separately, drawing on the box’s integrated sound system.
Rouvinen said including the device within the subscription reflects growing consumer interest in accessing equipment and services without a large initial purchase.
DNA has not detailed monthly pricing or which third-party content subscriptions are included in the announcement.
