Synamedia, the video software provider, has announced that Odido, the Dutch telco, has selected its Synamedia Go to power the Odido TV streaming service. With Go, Odido will migrate its existing TV subscribers to a modular, cloud-based SaaS platform while maintaining continuity for its customers.
Johan van den Branden, Chief Network and Operations Officer at Odido, commented: “Our ambition is to deliver a more innovative and compelling TV experience that keeps pace with our customers’ evolving expectations. With Synamedia Go, we can introduce new experiences faster, create more opportunities to engage viewers and grow revenue, all while simplifying operations. Just as importantly, Synamedia’s proven expertise in large-scale migrations gives us confidence that we can make this transition with minimal risk and without disrupting our customers’ viewing experience.”
Steve Reeves, Chief Revenue Officer at Synamedia, added: “Odido has a clear vision for the future of its TV service, and Go gives it the flexibility to realise that vision at its own pace, without disrupting the experience for existing subscribers. This is exactly what we designed Go to do: help operators move beyond legacy technology to a more flexible, modular foundation that simplifies operations and makes it easier to innovate, adapt and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
Synamedia Go gives Odido a flexible foundation to evolve its TV service. Go’s AI-powered modules enable Odido to introduce new capabilities, as and when it needs to, including personalised recommendations and automatically generated short-form feeds. This flexibility allows Odido to bring new experiences to market faster and accelerate time to revenue.
