Anthem Sports & Entertainment has announced a new broadcast partnership between TNA Wrestling and Sport1, bringing the promotion’s weekly flagship series Thursday Night iMPACT! to viewers throughout Germany.

Starting on November 3rd, Sport1 will feature German-language broadcasts of the Thursday Night iMPACT!, with commentary and localisation, while showcasing TNA’s roster of pro wrestling stars.

This move is a further continuation of the platform’s global expansion initiative, focused on increasing TNA’s television presence across Europe and around the world.

Andreas Gerhardt, Chief Content & Distribution Officer of Sport1, commented: “Professional wrestling has a passionate and established fanbase in Germany, and we are pleased to welcome TNA Wrestling to Spoer1. TNA combines compelling personalities, athletic competition and entertaining storytelling, and we look forward to introducing its weekly programming to our audience.”

Carlos Silva, President, TNA Wrestling and Anthem Sports Group, added: “Germany has always been an important market—both for professional wrestling and TNA, in particular. We are excited to join forces with Sport1 to bring TNA content back to fans across the country. Sport1 has firmly established itself as a major platform in sports and sports entertainment, making them an ideal partner as we continue expanding TNA’s international presence. We look forward to giving German fans a consistent destination to experience TNA every week.”

The SPORT1 partnership comes on the heels of significant growth and momentum for TNA Wrestling. Since launching its US TV partnership with AMC Global Media, Thursday Night iMPACT! has delivered multiple ratings increases, while TNA’s collaboration with WWE continues to bring talent from both companies together across their respective programmes. TNA has also expanded its global distribution and direct-to-consumer offerings, reaching fans in 200 countries and engaging more than 26 million social media followers.

TNA’s current roster includes World Champion Leon Slater and World Tag Team champions Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth, along with names such as Jeff Hardy, Indi Hartwell, Moose, Mustafa Ali, Matt Hardy, Cedric Alexander, Santino Marella, Erick Redbeard, Kiera Hogan and many more.
