Ali G: Who Iz I?, the mockumentary comedy film, is now available to stream on Prime Video following its limited theatrical release on October 23rd. It features the Ali G character revived by Sacha Baron Cohen after nearly two decades.

The film – which was also written, produced and directed by Baron Cohen – sees Ali G shocked to discover that his long-term girlfriend, Julie, is 8 months pregnant. Faced with an extra mouth to feed, he heads to America to reclaim his former glory… but soon encounters adversaries who will ultimately threaten his and his child’s very existence.

Originally, Amazon MGM Studios had planned a wide theatrical release for the movie, but following online backlash to the Ali G character (now perceived as outdated), the studio reduced its cinematic deal and focused more on streaming.

The presentation features a number of scenes with American political figures such as Newt Gingrich, George Santos, Ralph Norman and Andy Harris, who are not aware that they are being featured in the mockumentary.
