October 30, 2026

Panam Sports, the Pan American Sports Organisation, has selected Imagina, through Medialuso, as the official host broadcaster for the 20th Pan American Games, Lima 2027.

The agreement was signed at Panam Sports’ offices in Santiago, Chile, in the presence of its president, Neven Ilic, and Medialuso representatives Francisco José de la Fuente and Gonzalo Pampin.

“Being selected by the Local Organizing Committee and Panam Sports to produce the international feed for Lima 2027 is a major responsibility. We’ll put all our experience, technical expertise and talent to work for these Games, which belong to the entire Americas,” commented Francisco José de la Fuente, representing Medialuso.

Panam Sports President Neven Ilic welcomed the opportunity to work with Imagina – the name Mediapro will adopt on January 1st 2027 – again at the Americas’ premier sporting event.

Ilic commented: “We know IMAGINA’s professionalism, track record and cutting-edge sports broadcasting technology, so we’re delighted with this agreement. The Pan American Games are a world-class event, and what better host broadcaster could we ask for than a leading company like IMAGINA?”

The Pan American Games are the continent’s leading multisport event, bringing together more than 6,900 athletes from 41 countries. They are also a major qualifying event for athletes from the Americas seeking to reach the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Following the success of Lima 2019, the Peruvian capital is gearing up to host the continent’s sporting showcase once again. Over 17 days, the region’s top athletes will compete for glory across 38 sports, with direct Olympic qualification on offer in more than 20 disciplines.

IMAGINA will produce the international feed and coordinate its distribution to broadcasters, platforms and rights holders across the Americas and beyond.

The operation will combine resources deployed at venues throughout Lima with an International Broadcast Centre and remote production centers. It will incorporate IP-based production, cloud-based tools and artificial intelligence, meeting the highest technical and editorial standards required for major international sporting events. Coverage will span every sport and ceremony, with enhanced production for the most prominent disciplines and key moments. The distribution plan calls for six international feeds via the primary satellite system, including an integrated feed, plus a minimum of 14 feeds per day delivered via SRT. This will give rights holders flexible, secure access to the coverage.
