How to flash Univers u4111 using usb to Rs232 cable

i have univers u4111 and have a laptop with no com port so i bought a usb to rs232 port cable and install it: i pluged the cable it was detected and i have a com port com2; i pluged the cable i always use to flash that is a null modem cable and then pluged it to me receiver; the problem is that it can not detect the receiver nowing that i use alimup5.2 loader; anyway if there is anyway to flash univers reciever or any other reciever using usb to rs232 convertor please let me know

you can't do any thing with this cableu must bye amodule pcmcia with com port
