Download this one 160Z3USB_CAS, and copied the .sgn file into my usb flash drive,
plug it into the usb port on the front panel, but the nothing get uploaded into the stb. It said : '_sw_code.sgn : None' and '_ch_data.sgn : None'.

Then, I downloaded then one that Tunimax posted, which has the '_sw_code.sgn' file.
The second one, I don't know where to get it.

Maybe our friends rchoual, siavoosh, pola0, Tunimax, *SID*, kayzer, radium, and others, could joint our discussion.

Something I'm not really understand in firmwares for Hivion. On the "Sticky : Firmware Hivion", if I unzip some of them, the files extracted has nothing to do with either _sw_code.sgn nor _ch_data.sgn.

For example, I extracted "HV-9191XUSB3- HV-9090XUSB3_ID126_23.06.2008.zip", and the file I got was "S7f0a126-21600-11226F.sgn".

If I rename it to "_sw_code.sgn", flash it into my usb drive, plug it into the stb, I got the following message :
_sw_code.sgn : Detected
Model ID : 7f0a126
H/W version : 2.16.00
S/W version : 11.22.6
_ch_data.sgn : None

When I click the 'OK' button to proceed, the S/W was uploaded successfully.

My questions are :
1. in order to flash into your usb drive, you MUST rename the extracted files into "_sw_code.sgn". Is this correct ?
2. where can we get the channel data ( _ch_data.sgn ) file ? Is this necessary ?
3. to upload the softcam keys, there is no option to flash them into the usb drive. This means, you MUST upload them using dreamloader 214 ( serial cable ). Is this correct ?

I hope our moderator or senior member can share their opinion. Maybe they should add another "sticky" on that around that subject.

sorry man for this late reply...but..if u want to download softcam.key for u stb through a usb flash disk...u should rename the softcam to"_K_data.sgn"
and on the usb meno un the stb,,,, press 1 and the hidden key update confirmation will appear....
i have the same stb by the way....hehehe......

I have the same receiver 9090XII USB and I am looking for the same info. I can download the _CH_DATA.SGN (channel data) and the _SW_DATA.SGN (Software) but I have not been succesful with the Softcam Key file. I wil try the recommendation of the previous post of naming the Key file _K_DATA.SGN Have you had any luck?
