Hello, I joined this site last year and was able to learn quite a bit. I bought a 36" Fortec dish with a Stab HH90 motor and Ivacom QPH-031 LNB. I ran the cables from the attic to a wall outlet, where it hooks up to s Pansat 3500S box. I put up a 3" galvanized pipe cemented four feet deep that runs 20' high to my roof top. Then I realized when I got to the roof to prepare for install, that my neighbor across the streets tree was right in line with my sat arc. All of my local sats were blocked. Direct TV, Dish Network, Hughes, Primestar. I could not affort to put up a large pole twenty feet higher because to avoid wind wiggle, it would obviously be about a 5" and very heavy pole. So after being gone from here ever since, the tree finally got chopped down. Now I am going to be able to put the dish up. My problem now, is how do I get the proper compass reading, since the pole is metal? I wonder4 if my equiptment is now obsolete. I have been doing with my cable and HD roof antennae just fine, but I want lots more sports etc. Keep up the good work I trust that I will be here again for a while. Unfortunately for now, I have all questions and not many answere. I am in the USA west coast southern CA.
