try this...
install the drivers for the usb serial adapter
plug-in your usb serial adoptor/null cable into your usb port on your pc...
1) click on "start" on your pc, go to "my computer" and click on it, next click on "view system infos"..click on "Hardware", next click "Device manager", now look for "ports (com & ports)" and click on that, it should now tell you what number com port you are using...use this number when connecting your loader etc using this cable.
