Don t put your cam in the pcmcia and install loader setup ... choose xp after installation reboot your system and put your pcmcia ;)

Hello, I downloaded the MRV223 to the CAM. TPS and Multivision still freeze .
Needed to edit CAS viaccess 1 007C00 TPS OB00 to 00 00 00 00.
Problem solved but only for a few minutes.
Needed a "blocker" for viaccess to prevent overwrite of the 0B00.
Other solution ?

To programme using CAS2

Download latest Mrv file (Mrv223a at moment)

Open CAS software,

Insert cam, then press CONNECT (should recognise cam),

Press ERASE ALL(ask if sure, press ok and wait until it erases cam),

Next press OPEN FILE and find downloaded Mrv file (Mrv223a at moment),

let it load up then,

***BEWARE ****

you now press WRITE this is the WRITE in the flash function section

NOT !!!the WRITE in the Xilinx Function you do not touch this unless you wish to change

a cam into another, i.e. a matrix reloaded to a matrix rev, and to do this you need a xilinx file.

Once you press the correct write (in flash function section) cam will programme and when finished try in your STB.

Your STB should recognise cam and things clear, if not try resetting cam using your STB menu).

NOW,

If you have mistakenly used the incorrect write button (i.e. the WRITE button in the xilinx section) you are not the first, and will have blanked the cam, so it is not recognised.

You now have two options,

1. You can reprogrammed the cam with a Matrix revolutions xilinx file, (have seen one of these on one of the sites called (Rev_MLC2a.zip containing file Rev MLC2a. jed), not sure if it works, but the comments were very favourable, the xilinx files aren't usually available, for commercial reasons).
Don't think posting links is allowed but if you search you should find it.

2. You can reprogrammed the cam as a Matrix reloaded using the xilinx file for the Matrix reloaded, (matrix.zip containing file matrix.cas), this is definitely out there.
Once you've done this you can then programme the latest Mrv file (Mrv223a) as above.

The difference between a Mrev cam and an upgraded Mreloded appears to be that the upgraded Mreloaded won't accept cards (still it's better than it not working and having a CAS 2 when you find a Mrev xilinx file you can then reprogram it).

Sorry I'm a bit vague about how to load xilinx file as I haven't had to do it yet, but it's probably the same but using the Xilinx function WRITE. Don't chuck it out you'll sort it if you persist.
(The rules of MONOPOLY look difficult when you first read them, but once you get going things aren't so bad).
Also I'm not sure what's available on the site here, as I just joined half an hour or so ago and haven't had time to look yet.
I hope it points you in the right direction.
