Ferrari fastest in Hungary

Hamilton fourth in session one

Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen finished one-two at the end of Friday's first practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The reigning world champions having struggled over the last two races, with drivers' champion Raikkonen in particular looking out of sorts at the German Grand Prix 12 days ago.

The Finn could only finish a lowly sixth after starting from that grid position, with Massa's third place at Hockenheim representing Ferrari's best result in both the German and British grands prix.
However, with their cars now sporting new 'shark fin' engine covers, the opening 90-minute session at the Hungaroring suggests that Ferrari might have raised their game.

Lewis Hamilton has exploited Ferrari's slip-ups and dominated the last two races, the McLaren Mercedes driver in the process opening up a four-point gap over Massa and seven to Raikkonen in the Drivers' Championship.
Chasing his third straight win, Hamilton was nevertheless forced to settle for the fourth-quickest time of Friday morning, with team-mate Heikki Kovalainen also faster.
Massa was comfortably out in front, the Brazilian setting a time of one minute 20.981 seconds around the tight, twisty track, leaving Raikkonen trailing by 0.364secs.

Kovalainen and Hamilton, who won this race a year ago, followed in close attendance, although with the latter 0.554secs slower than Massa.
Fernando Alonso in his Renault was fifth quickest, while Toyota's Timo Glock proved he is over his nasty-looking Hockenheim shunt with the sixth fastest time.

BMW Sauber's Robert Kubica and team-mate Nick Heidfeld were over a second slower in seventh and ninth places respectively, sandwiching Renault's Nelson Piquet.

Meanwhile, Toyota's Jarno Trulli completed the top 10.
David Coulthard was 12th in his Red Bull, albeit 1.719secs off Massa's pace, with Honda's Jenson Button a further 0.2secs adrift in 14th.
Sebastian Vettel brought up the rear, the Toro Rosso driver completing just four laps due to an engine problem sustained 49 minutes into the session.
