First you need to download the latest patch. If you are happy with your channel list then leave it as it is. Once you download the patch just download the softcam with the key editor

Tomorrow first thing in the morning, I will get such a cable and will start with the STB software that you sent me the link to download, and take it from there...

I also saw you had an updated list for the HOTBIRD & ASTRA satellite channels...

These are the two satellites that I receive (having 2 LNB's and a small disecq with 2 outputs), using a 1.2m dish and my location is Athens, Greece...

So, let me get the cable, run the STB software and then I will continue with the rest softwares....

I just run the STB program that I downloaded from Manhattan's website...

I just understood what it was... basically with this program, one can setup his machine from the PC... I had done all the setup from the machine, so I didn't have to change anything...

Now, about the update list of channels (I'm interested for Astra and Hotbird since these are the two satellites I have connected in my dish), what is the file?

If new channels are broadcasting, doesn't the machine find them if we run the Scan thing?

You can sent me a PDF with instructions about a CLTemu.exe file... I downloaded the PDF file just fine, but where is this CLTemu.exe file in order to update my machine???

I saw again the post you had about 2 tools... one is the STB editor, and the other is the Key editor...

STB editor is used to make all settings of your machine via your PC, right?

Key editor is what for?

Is there any way you can watch any channels that are scrambled, without having to pay the monthly fee? that's what the Key editor does???

STB editor is there to update the channel list ....... you better download the patch from here coz like that you're stb will be patched to watch channels like premiere etc

key editor is there to update the softcam key .... then you can transfer it to your stb with the key download tool

Dear Zoltar,
just found the CLTemu.exe online, and I downloaded and run it!

Now, in the APPL Version it says 2.34 (previous was 2.14)...

So I guess this was successful too...

So, what next?

where can I found the patch? premier is scrambled, right? but I will be able to watch it?

I will have to read about the Key editor... still don't understand what is its use...

In the upgrade_inst.pdf there is a section that says "how to use x menus", "edit keys", "adding keys" , and it has some numbers and letters combinations...

Does that mean that I have to find a channel that I know what codec it uses (i.e. MCT uses Viaccess), and enter the value that is shown (for Viaccess it gives 0500), and I will be able to watch the channel???
