Loop Out Function on Plaza XT

Hello All

I was wondering if someone could kindly explain how the 'Loop Out" function works on the XT (and presumably all receivers this facility). What's the point of it? Is it simply to avoid splitting a cable?

I basically like the Plaza XT but would like to boost its functionality by using it conjunction with a second receiver. I particularly want to know if the Plaza can loop a decoded signal to a 2nd receiver.

Yes it does if you leave the receiver on standby
