this is my first post,i have a old fortec star 4400 and was looking for firmware to enter emu keys i was given links to al7bar from which i downloaded firmware 28102010.zip and loader eromupgrade.29e
Menu --->System Setup --->TV System --->OK ---> press 0000 ( then you will got "RED button on Right side
I then entered the keys manually but unfortunately it didnt work and channels remained scrambled.
so i tried firmware for a fs4700 model(not from al7bar) on my fs 4400 and it works and I was able to manually input the emu keys
I have provided the firmware below and loader,hope this helps somebody out there.
please note I used a null modem cable rs323 and a usb adapter as my laptop did not have a serial port
it took about 4 attempts before the loader worked
