How to patch Technomate receiver?

need some help patching technomate 5600ci usb,
do i update firmware from technomate first.
then apply patch?
how do i apply softcam keys and can anyone tell me what sort of channels i may get with cams? sorry to be a pain but i find the cam thing a bit confusing
