Need help just starting up

New to the DVB...

Just some direction to how to forum/discussion or or step by step what to buy and how to set-up pc to benefit what everyone has. I might be posting in the wrong forum but need some serious help. I found the sight and am really interested in the pc sat signals apposed to the traditional dish and cable head achs

Hi Every One,

I have just been recomeneded this site as an open community that could provide me with help starting off.

My satelite instalation man provided me with a new reciever which updates the keys automatically, that was what he said any way.

Every thing worked for the first 2 days, and now i cant seem to get any HBO chanells to work.

By the way I cant seem to get hold of the Sat man, his phone is allways switched off..

Please please Please help anyone

A little bit more information would be helpful. eg rough location, receiver type.
