Problems with 8 West?

Hi,While 1West was down I tuned in 8 West and then my receiver would "freeze" on any channel selected.I had to switch off the receiver to free up.Then it would repeat.
I have Topfield 5000C1 with Diablo 2.3 Light.
Anyone had any happenings like this?
After Switching off and pulling the plug the problem returned when reconnected and switched on.
I eventually managed to change satellites and things returned to normal.On returning to 8 West the problem returned.
