If any one have key editor Ver 1.2, can you please post in the forum..? Or where I can get key editor ver 1.2..? I need it for my SRX-550D.

hi all
little tutorial
1)open a " softcam.key " file
2) push "get " button ( you will see the contain !)
3) set the receiver in " stand by " mode
4) push " upload " button ( you will not see anything , but it will be DONE ! )
5) push " close " button to exit the prog

ps: it do not work with all firmware version !

1.How to update s/w by PC?
======================
1) Prepare a twisted RS232C cable(pin-2 to pin-3,pin-3 to pin-2,pin-5 to pin-5).
2) Connect your PC and receiver with twisted RS-232C cable.
3) Power off your receiver.
4) Run EasyUpgrade.exe on your PC,click <Start>,then Power on the receiver,the upgrade will start.
5) When finish, the LED will display "-End" ,then restart the receiver.

2.How to update receiver to receiver?
============================
1) Prepare a twisted RS232C cable(pin-2 to pin-3,pin-3 to pin-2,pin-5 to pin-5).
2) Connect the master receiver and the slave receiver with twisted RS-232C cable.
3) Turn on the master receiver and press "POWER" key to make it standby, the LED dot will blink.
4) Turn on the slave receiver,then the LED of master receiver will display 'H'.
5) Input digit number on master receiver to update different parts:
111---- Update software.
222---- Update data.
333---- Update data,then software.
444---- All flash except boot loader.
6) When finish, the LED will display "-End"

3.How to Edit Patch key?

if patch is enable:
1) Key menu:Main Menu-->STB Setting-->Manual Key
2) Current Key: INFO+0
3) All ECM List: INFO+1

4.How to update the Patch key?
======================
1) Download the softcam.key from the internet. You can go to http://byksat.kabel1.cz/dreambox/dreambox.html to download the softcam.key
2) Prepare a twisted RS232C cable(pin-2 to pin-3,pin-3 to pin-2,pin-5 to pin-5).
2) Connect your PC and receiver with twisted RS-232C cable.
3) Turn on the receiver and press "POWER" key to make it standby, the LED dot will blink.
4) Run the update tool on your PC,Slect the <Download Key>,press <Open> and select the softcam.key file,then click <Start>,upgrade will gin.
5) After finishing, the LED will display "-End"

4.CA Menu
======================
mainmenu->CA Menu

change softcam in sw bin

1. Edit the softcam.key when keys updated.
Such as showtime/ART keys etc...
Note: The file name must be softcam.key
2. Click the batch file [.bat], then press OK
The S/W with new keys in this folder will be genarate.
3. Update the new S/W and restart the Box to view channels.

Thanks for your reply, but when I opened key editor Ver 1.2 I can not open it, the message is fail. Can you please to look on it please.
