Digital+ launches more HD channels
In an attempt to be sold at the best possible price, Sogecable's satellite pay TV operator Digital+ has launched two HD new channels, Canal+ Deportes HD (sport) and Canal+ Dcine HD (movies).
The channels add to the existing Canal+ HD, Canal+ Spain's high-definition version. The HD sports version will offer the most important sporting events including some HD signals from events on SD channels Canal+ Fútbol, Canal+ Deportes, Canal+ Eventos, Golf+ and Sportmanía.
Canal+ Dcine HD will offer films such as "The Pianist", "The Storm" or " Close Encounters of the Third Kind".
Digital+ has also launched an English learning channel, English TV+, addressed to English speakers living in Spain. The channel includes the most demanded contents of well known channels such as BBC World, Sky News, CNBC, CNN International or Fox News. It also has an exclusive sports offer with the Champions League or the UEFA's matches.
From next January, Digital+ will also start transmissions of Chello Multicanal's The Biography and DeCasa channels.
