what are softcam keys for.
First and foremost welcome to the forum!!!!!!!! In order to clear certain channels that are not fta you need to update the keys. This can be done either using the remote or by uploading the softcam fileto your receiver.
Thanx Zoltar. Could you tell me how to use key download 1.0.0.3 to put softcam keys on my xt-m and also do i need a channel list. I already put the 2.43 firmware on my box but says channel scrambled will i need to move my sat dish. thx

wot ya mean, i have a standard dish not motorized, i am using astra to scan for channels, wot other info ya need.
as far as i know you will not be able to open anything on Astra or Hotbird.....I think you have to change your Dish direction if you want to make use of the batch......anyway Zoltar knows much more he will let you know......
Best sat to poit the dish to is Thor 1 west ...... Only few channels clear on Hotbird & Astra ....... or maybe is it worth waitng??????? I would turn my dish facing thor 1west for the time being.
