Zon TV Cabo: ‘Business as usual’

The present financial and economic crisis doesn't seem to be hurting Portugal's biggest pay TV operator Zon TV Cabo.

The operator has forecast the launch of new content next year both on its satellite and cable versions.

Rodrigo Costa, the company's president, declared the country's economic problems "won't alter the operator's future plans".

On October 31 the Portuguese government opened the public call for the licence of the fifth national TV channel. This decision will be taken next Januuary and Zon Multimédia (Zon TV Cabo's owner) is the first candidate for that licence.
