Hi,

i currently own a strong 4658 sat box. Is there a way to upgrade the firmware to the 4658x ?

or is there another way of patching firmware to get Biss menu's?

worked it out. boxes are not identical, some differences. patched 4658 with firmware to get biss menu.

I have a Strong SRT 4620 II pointed at hotbird. I saw a post that it can be upgraded to the 4820. After reading the instructions I was still unclear if it would help me with the availability of the keys over the 4620. I also downloaded files for the 4620X. The 4620X files will not load. I get a incompatable model error. Is it a firmware upgrade or are they different hardware models?

I loaded the latest keys with version 180 STB. Still no luck

I'm a soldier in Iraq with very limited internet bandwidth. It takes hours to view through the messages to find the answers. Can someone help me please.

1. What version of the STB file should I be looking for? i.e. 180
2. Is there an upgrade possible to the firmware that changes the model number that the keys are more readly available for?

You can not upgrade your 4620II to 4820 it is imposible !!!

you can upgrade 4620 to 4820 and that was very hard...

and you can not load 4620X firmware on 4620 or 4620II .

hi,

you can not load 4658x firmware on 4658 box its impossible.

you can enter 8280, 8282 with remote for use BISS keys.
