Help Needed

Hi Everyone :)

I have just had someone install a satellite system for me but I would need some more info..
I'm a newbie when it comes to satellite systems and cracking and all this stuff..
What I have is the following:
-ABRACADABRA card
-StarSat SR-X7100USB
-Nilesat 101/102
-Hotbird 1/2/3/4
-ArabSat 2B
-Sirius 2/3

I have Showtime and ART for the time being but I want to know how to unlock the other channels??like Orbit on Hotbirt or some other french channels on Orbit
Does the card needs update??how this can be done??
I often see files called ALI or EPSILON what are there???

update for abracadabra this done automatically by the software.

Yeah nice reply Akalp as if the guy understood what u said.. he is a newbie so place urself instead of him...

Moe74, go to this link and update ur receiver and click on ETA firmware http://www.skydownload.org/firmware/index.html

Concerning the French Channels on Hotbird , Abra can't open them you will have to have a dish aimed to Astra and the u might get the French chanels..

thanks for your replies..Louis has a point Alkap :) am a newbie and didnn't really understood!!
I want to understand how the system works?? currently I am able to watch ART and some channels of Shwotime..though previously all of them were showing but some got zapped..
I was wondering if I have to install anything!!

i am new too,
i have the same receiver x7100usb with abracadabra
i upgraded the last ui with the 280309
ART worked but SHOW disappeared 90%
can u help please
