Cox cements NDS relationship

THE CABLE SHOW – WASHINGTON DC. Cox Communications has appointed the NDS Professional Services team to manage and implement its tru2way system deployment.

Last week it was announced NDS would also provide a next generation user interface, electronic programme guide and various interactive applications for the Cox tru2way platform.

Formerly known as OpenCable, tru2way provides for a single user interface across supported devices, and is licensed by the US cable industry’s research and development arm CableLabs.

Cox plans to begin shipments of tru2way compliant devices in July.
