Help needed openbox 820

really hope someone can help before i go bald im new to digital sat used to have d2mac years ago so recently bought an openbox x820 and motorized dish anyway the openbox is sw 5,41 the newest i could find and i loaded svea keys using pobedit i know about the 1117 menu and the emulators on, then i am presented with lists of keys this is were the problem lies can anyone give me an idiot guide to using the keys what do i do from this point on
please help

Menue,1117:
Now you are in the Keyeditor of your Openbox.
Viaccess,mediaguard,irdeto,nagravision,c ryptoworks are the Keylists of the EMU.
But sometimes you must edit the keys by remote control.
Example:
If the is a new key 00 for nagravision make this.
Click on nagravision and choose the provider-ID you want to edit.
You see:
00
10
01
11
The new key 00 looks like this: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Now you have to split it in 00 and 10!
00 - xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
10 - xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Click to the right side and use the red button on the remote control.
Now change the keys like the example and when you are ready push OK and leave the menue with exit.
If there is a new Key for 01, make it the same by "01 and 11" !

Change CW and DCW keys.
There are keys for Biss too.And these you can change like this.
Go on the channel you want to edit and then Menue,1117,Biss.
Go to a free line (FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF).
The new original key looks like this: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
By openbox you have to change him so: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx

The 4th and last pairs you can cancel and the 6 other pairs are your new key for openbox.
Click on the line (FF and so on) with the red button.
Now you edit the new key in these line 6 pairs by "Video Key" and the same pairs by "Audio Key".
Then press two times OK.Now must see the TV channel you want to watch behind the Keyeditor.
Click exit to leave the editor.

Pukthefly, super post for all of us !.
With the recent changes in D£gi TV (nagra) to enter new keys with the remote, and SAVE them, I was told "Auto Update" has to be turned OFF. Can this also be done with the remote or must it be done in a program (pc) ?.

Openbox have no funktion to set the AU to be off,only the EMU can be canceled.
If your FW have no AU funktion for Digi TV you can leave the EMU be ON.
Take the latest Allkey. So you can watch Digi TV.

there arent as many xx on my code its xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
how do i edit them i have hit red button whilst on xx but i cant alter them when you say split can u explain and how do i split them if you could help i would be very pleased

Pukthefly. Danke, that file has got me sorted.

Stevesheard,....you don't need to try and change the xx line at the top.
Change only 00 and 10 lines for a 00 code.
Change only 01 and 11 lines for a 01 code.
I think he only put xx as an example.

also if you have loaded the codes do you have to go through this each time you want to watch the channel, next question are their specific channels you have to be on to activate packages such as digitv ect and if so is their a list anyware?

hi dweeb told ya i was thick but this is the only way tolearn one more moronic question for you all how do i tell if it is an 00 01 code ?

If you take an allkey to your Box you must not edit these Keys. They works without an edit.
Sometimes you can find keys for manual editing and they called 00 or 01.
Example:
New key 00= xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
That are 16 pairs of keys and then you have to split these keys into:
00= xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx (8 pairs)
10= xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx (8 pairs)

New key for 01: xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
Split him so:
01= xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
11= xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
That`s all what you have to do.

If your problem is not undissolved so try the FW 5.19.
It`s the best FW to watch Digi TV.
